The strategy
Eclipse E: momentum through the S&P session
Eclipse E
Eclipse E skips the first few minutes of noise after the open, then trades S&P momentum for most of the day when the DASIG lines line up.

- Stops looking for trades before the final half hour
Same safety rules as every Venzitech strategy
- Stop and target attached to every entry through the ATM template
- Shares the account’s daily risk budget with the other Venzitech strategies
- Flat by 4:00 PM ET, no overnight positions
- Runs hands-free on a NinjaTrader VPS
Why automate it
The S&P 500 rewards patience. Automation has plenty.
The S&P 500 futures are the deepest, most liquid equity index market. Moves are steadier than the Nasdaq, which suits a strategy that waits for agreement and keeps its bracket tight.
A long trading window is hard to watch manually. Eclipse E watches every bar from 9:35 AM to 3:29 PM ET, so you don’t have to.
Because it trades MES micros, it sits comfortably alongside the Nasdaq, gold and crude oil strategies under one shared risk budget.

Exchange contract specifications from CME Group. Margins and fees depend on your broker or prop firm.
ES automation questions
Does Eclipse E trade the full-size ES contract?
It ships with an MES template. Trading ES means ten times the dollar risk per tick, so only change it if your account and risk limits are built for that.
Why does Eclipse E start at 9:35 and not 9:30?
The first minutes after the open are the most erratic for the S&P. Waiting for that to settle was part of how the strategy was designed.
Can it run on the same account as the Nasdaq strategies?
Yes. All Venzitech strategies on an account share one daily risk budget, so they can run together. How the risk guard works.
